Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Alyssa Lazo, a lifestyle entrepreneur.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us about what it is that you do.
I am 23 years old, and I live in the Philippines. I graduated in 2019 from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. I am a lifestyle entrepreneur and very passionate about what I do. These days, I am into online merchandising of clothing and other fashionable items as we have to adapt to the current Pandemic. Given the current challenges, I find this as a perfect opportunity to develop my skills through the customization of my business model.
Please tell us more about your journey.
The expectation was set that looking for a job was not easy, but I believe everyone got caught off guard when COVID came. As a fresh graduate, I was on a phase where I questioned myself if I am best equipped with the learnings I had from University. Fortunately, my sheer determination in ensuring that I get productive even with the Pandemic resulted in me generating interest in Online Marketing. I am proud to share that this may not have been on my Go List when I was still in my University days, but when life gives you a lemon, you make lemonade. COVID Pandemic did not give us lemons, but it gave me many great ideas, and I can venture on them.
Please tell us about your company and how you become an ‘Enchantments ByLasso’ model?
I have always been a go-getter ever since I was a child. I have always loved fashion, and what reward can you give to yourself by doing what you love most. In this case, I found myself selling preloved and brand new items and named it ‘The Passion for Fashion.’ It allowed me to showcase my style and connect with my customers. The experience of ensuring my customers are happy with their purchases is pure bliss. The customers are happy with their purchases, and it’s a joy that I can’t deny knowing that I can share with them the latest trend. With how things evolve, I have realized that other than bringing fashion online, skincare would be so important as well. It is not just looking good with the dresses that we wear, but it is also important that you feel good with your skin.
Back in the days, I experienced having breakouts and started to try many skincare products. So far, the products I tried were ineffective and worsened my skin problem. As time passed, my skin got better, but when the Pandemic happened, I noticed that my skin was having breakouts due to stress. Sometime in 2020, I had a video call with my aunt, and she noticed my face. She sent me the products of ‘Enchantments ByLasso.’ The unlearning process in using my previous brands was sort of a struggle as I was unaware of Organic and Vegan beauty lines. I was hesitant to use it at first, but when I tried it, it all went well. What I like about the product is that it is made with natural ingredients, gluten-free, paraben-free, and it is not tested on animals. Products that are made with natural ingredients are safer compared to products that are made with harmful ingredients. Natural and vegan products hydrate the skin, reduce acne and other skin problems. It gives more glowing and radiance to the skin.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Self-perseverance and continuous learnings are the keys. I don’t get discouraged easily when there are no sales. It is part of the journey, but do note that you need to learn the misses, challenges, and strengths. We are allowed to learn and be productive, and so we must seize it, Carpe diem.

The key to success lies within you and your heart and mind. Don’t think of giving up; always do your best. Great works are accomplished not by strength but by perseverance. Important reminder, always take care of yourself even though you are so busy. Remember to always support natural and vegan products.
