Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Joey Strange, who runs Sketchy Boi Skateboards.
Hi, please tell us about your journey.
Sketchy Boi is a relatively new brand that I started in early 2020. I started it because of my love of skateboarding and my desire to spread that love.
Please tell us more about Sketchy Boi.
Our brand is all about inclusivity. I truly believe that skateboarding is for everyone, and my only goal is to get more people into it. We do not allow any gatekeeping at Sketchy Boi. It is very much a lifestyle brand for people that don’t fit in anywhere else. We welcome everyone from all walks of life to join us in this love for skateboarding.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I think our biggest strategy has always been to just making designs for ourselves. We make things that we think are cool. If other people like it, that’s rad, and we are happy to share them with everyone.

Do what you love, and don’t let anything get in the way. Also, you should totally give skateboarding a try!
