Khristian Santana of Supremacy Barbershop can make you look stylish and confident in the most discreet way…

Today, we are interviewing Khristian Santana from Cleveland, Ohio. He has partnered up with his wife, and both of them run Supremacy Barbershop, a territory created purely for males who appreciate premium quality and flawless look. You have a chance to have a really good time at his barbershop.

Please tell us something about yourself.

I was raised by a single mother and 2 brothers. (Daisun and Khristopher). I’m married to my wife, Jennifer Santana, and live with our 3 kids (Izik, Kaylee, Mya).

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

When I was 18 years old, I would see my brother (Kris) cut hair at his house and was recently fired from the job. I noticed, and I thought I could get the hang of cutting hair as well. So I just picked up a pair of clippers to give a try. And the rest was history.

Who are your role models?

My role models are people who I think at the moment inspire me to push forward. When time and outcome of my journey change, so, those are the people I look up to.

What inspires you?

What inspires me is the urge to help others. I get motivated to see others in the same place as me and not have to go through the bumps and bruises I went through getting to where I am at.

Please tell us about what you do.

In 2020, I chose to open up my own barbershop partnering up with my wife. We decided to call it Supremacy barbershop. We chose that name due to the word supreme, which means above the rest. I always wanted to own my barbershop. And, after being a barber for more than 15 years, I think I have more than skin in the game to take on any challenge in the barbering industry.

What’s your most memorable experience?

One of my most memorable experiences is having people come to my house when I was just learning how to cut hair. And, pulling out a chair and cutting hair in the middle of the living room, I would never forget that. Some of those people who are still my customers today come from that era.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

Instagram is everything as far as promoting my business and my self. I promote my product, my service, and my stories. Instagram is very easy to use. It is very effective to promote within your industry and is spot on. I like it.

What’s your greatest fear?

2020 was supposed to be an eye-opening year for all of us. But what we didn’t count on was that the country would stop every business and every plans people had for 2020. My fear is that I would lose my not yet open barbershop due to this COVID-19 situation.

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

Well, looking back to 2019, when I didn’t have a shop, I would think I would want to understand this whole process of opening up a luxury barbershop and running this great business as husband and wife. And I wouldn’t want to change anything I did in the process of opening Supremacy Barbershop.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

The main strategy to help me become successful in my business journey was TIME. Time helped me gain enough information about my industry. I feel that only time can mold you into figuring out what your flaws are and what are your strong points in your business ventures.

What keeps you going when things get tough?

There only one thing that keeps me going when time gets rough, and that is my family. Nothing else.
