Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Errin Stevens, Author of the three-book series, The Mer Chronicles.
Hi, Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I’ve written a 3-book series about mermaids (well, mine are sirens… and the explanation for that is in my stories) and the humans who fall for them! Fun and suspenseful and romantic. As I like to say, love isn’t in the air – it’s in the water.
Please tell us more about your journey.
I started writing Updrift about 7 years ago in my kitchen. I was a stay-at-home mom… and I had this mermaid romance storyline I could NOT get out of my head. So I built this magical, ocean-based world for my characters to play in!
That’s great! Please tell us more about the book series, ‘The Mer Chronicles.’
The first book in the series is Updrift, the second is Breakwater, and the third is Outrush. They explore the lives and loves of a group of humans, some of whom are family, some friends. I’ve LOVED helping these people navigate their lives, follow their hearts, and make their matches!
I went to writer’s workshops and conferences all over the U.S., wrote blog articles, participated in reader and writer groups… and generally daydreamed hard about my characters. And about the emotions, I wanted to evoke with their stories. The paranormal component has been so riveting, so delicious. I’m grateful to the hundreds of readers who have given me reviews and shared my books on their Instagram pages, and reached out to me wanting to read more – my fans have been amazing!
