Today, we are interviewing Author Avery Kasper, she has written ‘Undisputed Love: The Story of My Life with Floyd Mayweather Jr..’ This biography chronicles the story of suffering of decades of domestic violence faced by Josie Harris.
Please tell us something about yourself.
I have written several books for many people. I am from Kansas City and have been a writer for 30 years. I enjoy bike riding and baking. I have no children and one dog. I spend most of my time reading and working with non-profit organizations. I believe in giving back to the unfortunate.
Would you like to share with our readers what inspired you?
I believe love makes the world go around, and only hatred causes pain. I support victims of domestic violence, which is why I took on this project. Silence is our enemy.
Who are your role models, and why?
My role model is my mother.
Please tell us about your book.
This is a passion project. It will shine the light on abusers and give victims a voice of hope. Did you know females ages 18 to 35 generally experience the highest rates of intimate partner domestic violence? Harris was an unfortunate victim of this statistic.
This book will take YOU on an emotional roller coaster ride, revealing the constant chaos of love and abuse that Josie experienced for most of her life.
What’s the story behind penning down this book?
The story behind this book is about a young lady, Josie Harris, who was in pain, hurt, and not loved. On March 9, 2020, Harris, former girlfriend of the professional boxing promoter and famous boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. died alone in her car at her home in Valencia, California, at the age of 40. Harris was well-known for her appearances on Starter Wives Confidential and as the mother of three of Mayweather’s children.
After decades of mental and physical abuse, Josie Harris, at age 40, can finally have her side of the story heard through this book. Imagine emotions in a state of constant chaos for most of your life?
Before her death, Harris was writing a book detailing her relationship with Mayweather and giving an account of the numerous beatings she received by him. Unfortunately, she passed before she could finish it. Her story is finally revealed through this biography.
What’s your most memorable experience as an author?
Seeing people smile after reading a book I have written.
