Today, we are interviewing Dylan Schwartz, founder, and CEO of Dylan Universe Comics, an online comic book store specializing in vintage comic books from the 1930s-1970s. He is the youngest ever advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide.
Dylan Universe Comics buys your collection of comic books and puts cash in your pocket and that too in a super easy way!

Please tell us something about yourself.

I buy and sell comics, it’s hard but fun.

How did you get into what you do right now?

I was 11 and went exploring in the attic only to find my father’s comic he read as a kid. The biz side came later.

Who are your role models?

Likable people, Power Sellers on eBay, Abraham Lincoln, & Obnoxious yet Feared People

What inspires you?

I inspire me.

Please tell us about your company.

We buy and sell comics mainly pre 1980, but also deal keys that are newer.

What’s your most memorable experience?

Getting thrown out of San Diego Comic-Con because I was too “young” to be wheeling and dealing thousands of dollars. If I see that guy again, I’m gonna ship him off to Antarctica with one glove, so he has to decide which hand to put it on!

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?

I do some Instagram, but I think it doesn’t matter at this point. I’m not willing to put in the time yet. I usually post for sale posts or events I think are funny and cool.

What’s your greatest fear?

Losing the drive for hard work.

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

Money Targets and how to exceed goals.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Intensive work ethic and willingness to self-sacrifice to get what I sacrificed back later and better.

What keeps you going when things get tough?

If I don’t, who will?

Any message for our readers.

Stick with it.

How can people connect with you?

Phone/Email. Email is usually better. People usually reach out to buy/sell comics or if they need advice on our website DylanUniverseComics.com
