Art that gives back! James Green is sharing African Art with the world and providing clean drinking water to Ugandan families…

Today, we are interviewing James Green. He is committed to finding talented African Artists and sharing their work with the world while raising funding and awareness for clean water for the people of Uganda.

Please tell us something about yourself.

I sell the art from several artists in Uganda I met when I was deployed to Uganda with the United States Marine in 2012.

I use my website, www.ugandanart.com, to share as much about Ugandan culture and history as I can while selling the art. I use 25% of the profits to provide clean water to families in Uganda.

What’s your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is not leaving the world better than I found it.

What keeps you going when things get tough?

What keeps me going when things get tough is knowing how large of an impact only a few dollars can make in Uganda because the water filters are extremely low cost, and having clean water has a profound impact on families.
