She loves making people feel confident about themselves. Meet the Founder of KmXtend Hair Extensions – Michelle Morton

Today we are interviewing Michelle Morton, the Founder of KmXtend Hair Extensions. She has been a beauty enthusiast all her life. Let’s hear about her success journey.

How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

I went to cosmetology school at a very young age while still in high school. I started a brand of hair extensions back in 2010 but sold it when I got pregnant, so I could spend more time with my family and being a new parent. Over the years, I’ve just been researching the best hair extensions, the brands, the audience, and the sources. Now KmXtend is a supplier of the most exquisite quality of hair extensions on the market today. We offer hand-tied hair extensions, tape hair extensions, clip in hair extensions, flip in (halo type) hair extensions, injected tape hair extensions, fusion bonds in flat or v tip, and I tip hair extensions. We can also supply toppers, wigs, etc. that are needed by our customers.

Who are your role models?

My role model would be Jen Atkin.

What inspires you?

I love to make people feel confident.

Please tell us about your company KmXtend.

KmXtend-Hair-Extensions

KmXtend offers high-end quality hair extensions. We don’t have a minimum order requirement, but the pricing does get more attractive, the bigger the wholesale order. We can arrange custom-tailored hair extensions to anyone; however they want it. If they can envision it, we can create it.
As we enter back into this extremely competitive market, our focus is to remain on the quality of our product, the customer service we offer, and, most importantly- the relationship we have with our buyers- no matter how big or small of a customer they are. Their experience with us will make them feel like they are our ONLY customer. That is what we are all about.

Which social media channels work best for promoting your work?

Social media channels that work best for us is Instagram. We are able to connect by DM, and that works well for us.

What’s your greatest fear?

The greatest fear is that the market just becomes saturated with cheap hair. It’s already happening. There’s so much cheap hair out there today, it’s hard to weed out what’s crap and what’s truly good quality. A good way to tell is to ask for a sample. Any reputable supplier will be happy to send a sample of hair to test the quality. Some things to look for is how thick are the ends? Are they full ends or straggly ends? Is the hair soft or rough to the touch? Is there a natural softness, or can you feel that it’s been coated with silicone? Put the hair in the water to test it also. Stretch one or two strands, it should be strong and hard to stretch out.

Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?

Looking back, I wish I never totally sold the original brand started in 2010, but just put it on hold. But now, starting a brand new brand, in a much more competitive market than it was 10 years ago, I’m ready for the challenge. Our hair sells itself once it’s in someone’s hands, so I’m not worried about it.

How can people connect with you?

We encourage our customers to reach out either by our website or by DM on Instagram.
