Premium fashion brand CEO from London shares his success journey

Today, we are Interviewing Jordan Adelekan and he is the  founder/CEO of InspireDynasty, a premium worldwide fashion brand. He is 21 years old and lives in South East London in England.

1. How did you get into entrepreneurship? Please tell us more about your journey as an entrepreneur?

Jordan-Adelekan

I got into entrepreneurship by accident, to be honest, I was playing semi-professional football at the time and I didn’t want to go to university so I thought what else can I do to help support myself so I came to the decision of starting a clothing brand. I wasn’t taking it seriously because it was all fun and games but the results from the early days were crazy, I thought to myself how far can I really go with this? And at the time I was coming up against a lot of politics at football which started to put me off. My love for the business grew as my love for football decreased so I prayed to God about the decision I should make and God guided me that if I stop playing football for three months I will see the wonderful works he will do. So I listened and I came across some of the most influential people I have ever met, people I looked up to when I was a kid wishing I would come across them or even do some work with them, this all happened when I stopped playing football. It’s funny because everything happened on the days I would usually have matches or training, so if I was still playing football I wouldn’t have been able to walk into these life-changing moments. It was from then I realized I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be.

2. Who are your role models?

My role models are my mum and dad, seeing how they came from nothing and where they are in life now is so inspiring and to think that those are my parents is an even better satisfaction. I have seen them work hard and it has definitely rubbed off on me, they have always spoken wisdom over me, from even when I was a young boy and I am grateful for them. I also look up to Reece Wabara who is the owner of Maniere De Voir. I have seen his journey from start to where he is now and for some at the age of 27 to be doing what he is doing is amazing, even though ‘age is nothing but a number’, it is still inspiring.

3. Did you read any books that inspired or motivated you in your journey?

I do read books, I have read Gary Vaynerchuk’s books, leadership books, and a couple of others, I do need to make more time for reading. I try to read for at least 30 minutes a day. Books are good but if you are taking in knowledge and not applying it then it is wasted knowledge, anything taken in must be allowed to be put out, what good is it obtaining something just for the sake of holding on to it.

4. Please tell us about your company

My company is called InspireDynasty, it is a fashion brand that aims to source the finest quality at the most affordable prices for people. The message of the brand is to inspire a dynasty, a dynasty is a group of rulers and my brand represents us as a family who are inspiring the world. I run the company by myself and also do everything myself but that doesn’t mean the brand is just me, the brand is the consumers, people who repost, people who are rooting for us, just anyone who is affiliated with the brand, it is a movement of power. I started it because I wanted people to see that someone like me can come from nowhere and be nothing and then become someone from somewhere, a lot of people doubt themselves which upsets me because I believe we all have greatness within us, if people can see me manifesting what is inside of me knowing where I have come from, I believe that it can have a ripple effect and allow others to give birth the ideas inside of them so they can really step in the greatness ahead of them.

5. What’s your most memorable experience as an entrepreneur?

Jordan-Adelekan

As an entrepreneur I have many memorable experiences, I can’t put it down to one but the most memorable times are the moments of adversity, oftentimes people look down at those moments but those are the moments that make you, those moments made me for sure. I became stronger and reached some of the lowest points in my life only two years into my journey which will allow me to break through glass doors which I wouldn’t have been able to without going through these things, I wouldn’t change anything about my past because without it I wouldn’t be able to walk in my future let alone my present.

6. Are you using any online marketing strategies for your company? How are you using different social media channels to market your company?

I am not using any online marketing strategies for my business at the moment, however I do my research and study, I do use Facebook adverts from time to time and I aim to start using them a lot more as they are underpriced but it is only a matter of time before Facebook realize the great weapon they have on their hand and supply meets demand.

7. What’s your greatest fear as an entrepreneur?

I don’t have any fears as an entrepreneur, I love what I do and I have the most joy even through the worst days. The only thing I fear is God anything else doesn’t intimidate me

8. What’s the biggest factor that has helped you be successful?

The biggest factor that has helped me be successful is my trials and tribulations, everything I have been through has built me and turned me into who I am today. As I mentioned this, without my trials I wouldn’t be who I am today, I wouldn’t have the experience I need, I wouldn’t be as strong as I am. There is so much beauty in the weaker moments of our stories but nobody talks about them, I embrace my L’s because I see them as lessons, not losses, losses can only be a thing when you decide you’ve lost. You don’t lose until you make the decision to give up, everything is a life lesson.

9. What are your success habits?

I wouldn’t really say I have success habits, I am hardworking, consistent, ambitious and patient. The balance between ambition and patience is what makes the greatest people, some people are too patient which makes their ambition suffer and they get lazy, some people expect far too much too soon and the lack of patience leads to them making silly decisions which may seem cool now but the repercussions of it in years to come will be the death of them.

10. What do you enjoy most about what you do?

What I most enjoy about what I do is creating a legacy which inspires people to follow their dreams, I receive a lot of messages and it is amazing to think that someone like me is having such an impact on people, people who I don’t even know, people from different countries, and so much more! Every day I wake up and thank God for what he is doing in my life and how he is using me.

11. What keeps you going when things get tough?

What keeps me going when things get tough is my relationship with God, I know God is for me so who can be against me, he has already given me the victory. Reading my bible gives me peace and giving God all the glory for everything he is doing in my life is a privilege, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

12. How can people connect with you?

People can connect with me on social media, my Instagram is @JordanInspire , my twitter is @JordanAdelekan and I always try to respond to the messages I see, so people shouldn’t hesitate to message me because I will get back to you!
