Who is Mikael Ake Persbrandt?

Mikael Persbrandt was born on September 25, 1963, in Jakobsberg, Järfälla Municipality, Stockholm County. There is no authentic information available about his school or college life. Career

Persbrandt began his career in 1984 by performing on stage with the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. His first play was King Lear (1984). His notable stage plays include Julius Caesar (1985), Three Sisters (1994), Don Juan (1999), Maria Stuart (2000), and Miss Julie (2005).

Since 2019, he portrays the role of Jakob Nyman in the comedy-TV series Sex Education.

He got his first breakthrough in the Swedish film industry by portraying the role of Gunvald Larsson in the Beck film series. The first installment of the beck series came in 1997 as Beck- Lockpojken. In 2016, Mikael starred in Beck- Gunvald (2016) and left the film series.

While shooting for the beck series, Mikael Persbrandt starred in the 2010 Danish drama thriller film In a Better World, alongside Trine Dyrholm and Ulrich Thomsen. The movie won an Academy Award, which made him an international star.
