Leslie Birkland – Famous Reality TV Star

From Reality TV Star of ‘Big Rich Texas’ to a Health Wellness Coach, Leslie Birkland talks about her book – Daughters of Dementia

Today, we are interviewing Leslie Birkland, renowned for being the woman who went from welfare to the reality hit show, Big Rich Texas. She has traveled internationally for modeling assignments on several occasions.

She is now a certified Wellness Coach, specializing in Holistic Medicine in hopes of finding natural ways to slow down the dementia spiral. Currently, Leslie travels between her two homes in Canyon Lake, California, and Seattle, Washington. She is the mother of three grown boys.

1. Please tell us something about yourself.

I dearly love to read. During the filming of Big Rich Texas, we had hours of “Hurry Up and Wait Time,” at which time I spent reading.

2. How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

Watching the decline of my beloved Step-Father, I felt it was my calling to share his story with others.

3. Please tell us about what you do.

In addition to being an author, I am a certified Life, Wellness, and Stress Management Coach. Many of my clients are either Dementia caretakers, family, or friends of a person with Dementia. I help them by allowing them to share their experiences, and I guide them towards ways to cope.

When I decided to write Daughters Of Dementia, I simply dove right in. I write a stream of conscientiousness first and then edit after.

4. What keeps you going when things get tough?

It’s okay to have a good cry. We can’t all be tough every minute. Cry it out and then think about moving forward.

5. How can people connect with you?

They can connect through Website, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
