Early Life, childhood, and Education
Erin McGathy was born in Japan on December 5, 1985. Although she was born in Japan, she was brought up and received her education in San Diego, United States. According to sources, she comes from Irish ancestry and has a parent who is a preacher.
Being a very private person, she has never opened up about her childhood, personal life, or education on public platforms. But we can say that much about the educational background that she has learned improvisational comedy from a high school, the name of which is unknown.

Erin McGathy is a multi-talented star who is involved in many professions at a time. Primarily, she hosts podcasts, but she has also tried her luck in acting and comedy. She started her career with comedy when she was still in high school. She jammed her foot permanently in the entertainment business in 2007.
In 2007, she initiated her career with a show This Feels Terrible, which was very liked by the fans and was viewed at Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. She later turned that show into an online podcast and began hosting it. Besides her own podcast, she made guest appearances at another podcast named “Harmontown” which was hosted by her ex-husband Dan.
Not only that, but she also appeared in a special episode of Community, an NBC series, in 2015. In 2014, she played herself in the documentary called ‘Harmontown’. She was also featured as a narrator in the eighth episode of a comedy show, Drunk History.

According to the sources, she is currently dating Jordan Daniel. Previously, she was married to her long-term boyfriend, Dan Harmon, who was also a podcast host. Later, the couple divorced in 2015, merely after one year of being married. Dan Harmon was also a producer of the TV Show Community. Erin also starred in an episode of the show.
Apart from Dan Harmon, she has never been linked to anyone else, neither there were any rumors about her dating anybody. To be specific, Dan and Erin dated for almost twelve years before tying knots. After their brief relationship, they got engaged on December 28, 2013, and got married on November 15, 2014. Their wedding was organized in Los Angeles at the beautiful venue of the Natural History Museum. Despite their long history, their marriage did not survive, and the couple parted ways in 2015.
After the divorce, Dan Harmon and Erin McGathy are still on friendly terms.
