Life before fame:
Ashley was born and grew up in Thousand Oaks, California. She’s said that her childhood wasn’t the nicest as her family was often struggling to put food on the table, for which Ashley was sometimes teased by other classmates. Although life wasn’t the easiest, she always held her chin high and didn’t allow the negative comments to affect her. Ever since her debut in the adult video scene, she received multiple Adult Video News awards, including being named 2004 Female Performer of the YEar, as well as receiving an award in 2005 for Best Supporting Actress. In March 2004, Ashley was signed for a three-year contract with JM Productions, appearing in the Girlver series. The contract ended on February 14, 2007.
In 2003, Ashley sued her ex-boyfriend, who also has a fellow former adult film star Trent Tesoro on an episode of Judge Mathis. She also appeared in an episode of Howard Stern’s TV series Howard Stern on Demand. Ashley was also the voice actor in the popular kids’ cartoon Three Thug Mice.
After a few years in 2008, Ashley finished writing her memoir, which she had been working on for nearly ten years while in the adult entertainment industry (using the JM Productions moniker “Girlvert”). The memoir was published as Girlvert: A Memoir by Oriana Small. The memoir was published by the independent Angeles-based publisher A Barnacle Book & Record in 2011.
Later on, in 2011, Ashley portrayed the Swedish artist Karl Backman in the Museum of Art located in Zurich.
2013 saw Ashley being inducted into AVN’s Hall of Fame.

Ashley was very excited to have her own radio show, so she took it upon herself and launched her very own Vivid Radio show called Blue Movies.
She has been hosting the show ever since it launched back in November 2013.
She is also really talented as a radio show host and has often received praises from her listeners on how well she manages to interview guests, as well as her witty humor.
Personal life and relationships:
Ashley’s father is a car salesman, and her mother is a hairdresser. Ashley has stated that her parents were very accepting of her decision to star in adult-themed material. Although they were hesitant at first, Ashley explained how the money could be used for good. After a while, they got used to it and were a shoulder to lean on whenever Ashley needed it.
Regarding her love life, Ashley is married to Dave Naz (An American photographer and film director). They have been married since 2009 and have so far remained in a strong and healthy relationship.
