Who is Charlotte Stewart?

Charlotte Stewart is an American film and television actress.
She is probably most famously remembered for her portrayal of the school teacher Miss Beadle on the American Western historical drama television series Little House on the Prairie, as well as her work with the famous director David Lynch.

Life before fame

Not much is known about Charlotte’s childhood, but she did grow up in California, and Charlotte had stated that she made several appearances on shows such as Bachelor Father and The Loretta Young Show when she was just starting out. She went to study acting in Pasadena and graduated with ease; her acting coach saw the potential that Charlotte possessed and knew she would make it big in the movie industry.

Her acting career

Her first major role came in 1974 when she was cast as Miss Beadle on the popular television series Little House on the Prairie. She was on the show from 1974 until 1978. Charlotte has also worked with the controversial filmmaker David Lynch on numerous occasions. She worked with him on the cult classic Eraserhead (1977), as well as appearing in Twin Peaks (1990).

Charlotte has more than 50 credited roles to her name, making her a true veteran actress.

She has proven herself to be a very versatile actress and has played in both comedies and serious drama roles.

Relationship status

Charlotte was once married to the former child actor Tim Considine but the pair couldn’t find common ground, and the relationship ended in a divorce a few years later. After that, a few years went by, and Charlotte starting dating David Banks, whom she had met many years prior while studying acting. The pair were married in 1992 and continued to have a beautiful and loving relationship until the unfortunate death of David Banks in 2012.

Some interesting trivia

Charlotte acted in twelve episodes of the soap opera The Young and the Restless in 1986, although she wasn’t credited with the role.
She is also associated with fellow actress Natasha Lyonne as they were both cast in the 1998 comedy movie Slums of Beverly Hills.
