In 1997, Nikolaj married Nukâka, as she is a known professional, singer, and actress from Greenland. The two live together in Copenhagen and have two daughters together, Filippa and Safina, with both girls being featured in films.

Professional Life

Coster-Waldau debuted as an actor on stage, playing Laertes in a Danish theater. In 1994, he was cast in Nightwatch, which was a breakthrough role for him and made him famous in Denmark first. He continued to star in Danish films, such as Wildside in 1998 and Misery Harbour in 1999. In 1997, he appeared in the British film Bent.
