Technology Specialist and Entrepreneur Rohit Sharma’s book demystifies the TinyML technology

Introduction to TinyML is an effective starter guide for anyone looking to understand TinyML technology. It involves the market, applications, and tools associated with this. It begins with an introduction for laypeople and then dives deeper to explore other uses beyond common applications. The guide is easy to read, clear, and can be followed by people with no background in tech. But if you are an expert, you can still find a lot to benefit from, as it delves more into TinyML for developers, market researchers, and hobbyists, going over the various ways to employ this technology.

You can begin by understanding what this technology is, its benefits, and how it can be scaled. It also provides no-code and low-code platforms for various goals. Eventually, it also gets to hardware autoML and TinyMl compilers.

Machine learning is definitely a field with a bright future ahead. However, even people without coding backgrounds can benefit from understanding how it works and learning to develop their own projects. This guide will help readers design their next embedded machine learning project. All this they will be able to achieve without writing a single line of code, although it also includes options for developers who want to include code of their own.

The author is Rohit Sharma, a technology specialist, author, entrepreneur, and professor at California Science and Technology University. He works for AI Technology & Systems and is also the founder of this company. In addition, Sharma founded another company and is a specialist in the field of machine intelligence, as well as in the topic of VLSI cell characterization. This expertise is reflected in two best-selling books on the topics, several papers published in journals and presented at high-profile conferences. He has over 20 years of experience in this field, working on Ansys, Cadence, and Paripath, learning with years of experience designing solutions and creating innovative ideas. He is a specialist in AI accelerators, AIoT, EDGE AI, machine learning, analysis, characterization, and VLSI modeling, serving as an architect for guna and deepC Compiler.

The TinyML book can be recommended for readers with different backgrounds who are interested in the theory and practice behind machine learning. It introduces a way to create the reader’s own project without having to know how to code, as well as low-code options. Today, machine learning is a booming field thanks to all the opportunities it offers for advancing various fields, from medicine to agriculture. Machine learning is sure to revolutionize most fields and areas of human experience, creating a lot of opportunities for the people who first begin implementing this kind of project.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Rohit Sharma. Here are the excerpts from the interview.

Hi Rohit, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.

Hi! I am the Founder and CEO of AITS. We provide end-to-end TinyML solutions running on batteries with no-cloud and no-internet for austere/remote environments.

Please tell us about your book, Introduction to TinyML.

TinyML is a nascent AI branch that requires coaching and education for its effective usage. This book is an effort to demystify the TinyML technology, including the market applications, algorithms, tools, and technology.

It starts with an introduction to TinyML with benefits and scalability. It introduces a no-code and low-code tinyML platform to develop production-worthy solutions, including audio wake word, visual wake word, American sign language, and predictive maintenance. The last two chapters are devoted to sensor and hardware agnostic autoML and tinyML compiler technologies.

Please share with our readers about your journey.

I’ve been a technologist in innovative product companies for the past 20 years. I found two companies, published several papers in international conferences and journals, and authored two best-seller books on machine intelligence and VLSI cell characterization.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Designing technology products has been my passion. In this book, I discuss and coach how to create tinyML solutions with tiny boards to enable common users with no technical background.

Any message for our readers.

My message to readers with varying backgrounds, including students, hobbyists, managers, market researchers, and developers, is to look at your world and see the digital data around you. Once you spot the data, converting it into silicon intelligence is easy with our no-code platform, www.tinml.studio. Go, change the world.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?
